Ukrainian border guards repel attack in Bakhmut, Russians retreat with losses

In Bakhmut, Donetsk region, soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine prevented the Russian invaders from changing their tactical position and repelled another enemy assault on a stronghold.

The State Border Guard Service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Thus, the Russian infantry attempted to take positions closer to the defense line, but the border guards forced the invaders to retreat in a shooting battle.

In the neighboring quarter, using small arms and grenade launchers, Ukrainian defenders repelled an assault by Russians on a stronghold of the border guards.

"The small arms and grenade launchers of our defenders forced the occupiers to retreat with losses," the State Border Guard Service noted.

In another sector of Bakhmut defense, the border guards shot down two Russian drones.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian army continues to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut sector. Battles in Bakhmut city are ongoing.
