Military spox says about unusual way of drone attack to Odesa
During the night attack on Odesa, the Russian army launched drones in an unusual way - through the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region.
The Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine Natalia Humeniuk said this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine Odesa, Ukrinform reports.
"15 Shahed 131 and Shahed 136 drones were launched from the direction of the Azov Sea. Using the landscape features, they tried to launch them in an unusual way through the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region. This is a workaround," Humeniuk said.
She noted that the found wreckage of the drones had the words "For Moscow" and "For the Kremlin" with the symbols Z and V.
"This is most likely an attempt to shift the responsibility to Ukraine for the quasi-attack they are showing to the world. This is an attempt to promote their planned narrative. They tried to make the world think that Ukraine is allegedly attacking far beyond its borders and competence," added Humeniuk.
As reported, the Air Defense Forces and mobile fire groups destroyed 12 of the 15 kamikaze drones that Russians used to attack Odesa last night.
