In first days of May, Russia conducts airstrikes on Ukraine every hour - US State Department

During the first four days of May, Russia launched more than one missile, drone, or bomb at Ukraine every hour.

The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine tweeted this information, citing State Department spokesman Vedant Patel, Ukrinform reports.

“Since May 1, Russia launched more than 145 airstrikes across Ukraine. That means Russia has launched more than one missile, drone, or bomb every hour, 24 hours a day, four days straight” Patel informed.

In this context, the State Department representative reminded that on May 3, the United States announced an additional $300 million in security assistance to Ukraine.

As reported earlier, the new tranche of U.S. security and defense assistance to Ukraine will include mainly ammunition and other weapons needed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
