More than 14,000 Ukrainian soldiers (including 21 women) have already undergone training in Great Britain, and more than 2,000 are trained now.

"You've probably already seen the moving video in which foreign military personnel line up to say goodbye to Ukrainian soldiers who return home from training in Great Britain. More than 14,000 Ukrainian soldiers (including 21 women) have already completed training in the United Kingdom, and more than 2,000 are currently being trained," Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska posted on Telegram.

She noted that Great Britain launched Operation Interflex to train members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in June 2022 with the participation of instructors from nine other partner countries: Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Lithuania, Canada, and the Netherlands.

"The training camp in Salisbury is one of four where our fighters learn the most necessary skills – from tactical medicine to firing. I and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal together with British Defence Secretary Ben Wallace, who met us at the camp, got acquainted with the progress of the exercises," Zelenska wrote.

She emphasized that "our defenders need all possible world experience because every additional knowledge, every skill is their preserved life and health. And, therefore, our victory."

As reported, Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska arrived on a visit to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland the day before.
