Russian Iskander missile hits Zaporizhzhia as 104 strikes recorded across region

Throughout the e day, the Russian army conducted 104 strikes on populated areas of Zaporizhzhia region, including with the use of an Iskander ballistic missile.

That’s according to the region’s National Police department, Ukrinform reports.

"Throughout the day, the aggressor struck 104 times in Zaporizhzhia, Vasylivskyi and Polohyvskyi districts, using UAVs, anti-aircraft missiles, aviation, and artillery, also targeting the regional center with an Iskander ballistic missile," the statement reads.

It is noted that in one of the districts of Zaporizhzhia, civilian and residential infrastructure was damaged as a result of the strike.

Over the past 24 hours, police have registered 18 reports of destruction. Among the affected areas are Zaporizhzhia, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, Zaliznychne, Yehorivka, Zatyshshia, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Hulyaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Olhivske, Charivne, Chervone, Bilohirya, Malynivka, Shcherbaky, Temyrivka, Novopavlivka, Poltavka, Temyrivka, Chervona Krynytsia, Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, and Kamianske.

After yesterday's shelling, three wounded civilians were brought to the hospital.

Law enforcement documented the consequences of Russian aggression and collected evidence of war crimes. Police and Security Service investigators opened criminal proceedings under Art. 438 (Violation of laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, in anticipation of the offensive effort by Ukraine’s Army, Russian invaders are installing in the captured part of Zaporizhzhia region mine-explosive barricades and fortifying their positions.
