Ukraine's commander hands over batch of SUVs for creation of mobile air defense units
Lieutenant General Serhiy Naiev, the Commander of the Ukrainian Joint Forces, has handed over a batch of SUVs to the military for the creation of mobile air defense groups.
According to Ukrinform, Naiev said this on his Telegram channel.
"The world has never faced such a huge number of air and missile strikes. But we are trying to find the most effective methods of countering air hazards. We are trying to prevent our troops from being struck and ensure the maximum protection of our compatriots and critical infrastructure," Naiev said.

He noted that on May 10 he handed over another batch of SUVs for the creation of mobile air defense units.
"These groups will protect the skies on the outskirts of Kyiv, as well as the airspace over other settlements in the north and northwest of Ukraine," Naiev said.
Earlier reports said that Ukraine's air defense forces shot down three Shahed drones over the Dnipropetrovsk region overnight.
