Ukraine, partners developing new defense packages - Zelensky
Ukraine is actively working with foreign partners on decisions regarding more defense assistance packages for the country.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his address to the nation posted on Wednesday, Ukrinform reports.
"Our international bloc is very active, working in detail with partners toward new defense packages for Ukraine. New solutions are already at the working level. More protection for our skies, more opportunities for our defense and movement on the ground," Zelensky said.
He noted that on Wednesday, he held several meetings where these issues were discussed. The president expects appropriate steps to be taken by partners in the near future.
"We do not forget for a minute that every day of the occupier's presence on our land is a temptation for them to think they will succeed in something... They will succeed in nothing! We must return freedom, security, and Europe to the entire Ukrainian land – to the entire European land. And we will do it! We will not leave a single piece of our land to the enemy – tyranny will not rule anywhere. And I thank the partner leaders, all partner states, everyone who helps us strengthen our might and make Ukrainian defenses even more proactive," Zelensky said.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, on May 9, President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country planned to expel Russian troops from its territory and did not want the war to continue. Ukrainians simply dream of being free, he noted, recalling that the country is not Vladimir Putin’s puppet theater but a self-sufficient state.
