War update: Ukraine Army repels 39 enemy attacks in four directions

Russian troops continue focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled 39 enemy attacks in the aforementioned directions. The fiercest battles are raging for the Donetsk region’s Bakhmut and Marinka.

Russian troops launched one missile strike (on civil infrastructure in the Donetsk region’s Kostiantynivka, using the S-300 missile system) and 45 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 53 times (namely, on the positions of Ukrainian forces and settlements in the Kherson region). Casualties among civilians were reported; detached houses and other civil infrastructure were damaged.

The threat of Russian air and missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine, as the enemy continues to use the tactics of terror, the General Staff noted.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched four strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters. The Ukrainian military also destroyed five different enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian air defense missile system, two personnel clusters, one fuel depot, two artillery units in firing position, and one electronic warfare system.
