Zelensky appoints new Ukrainian ambassador to Netherlands

President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleksandr Karasevych as Ambassador of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The corresponding decree No. 267/2023 was published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

"To appoint Oleksandr Karasevych as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands," the document says.

Previously, Karasevych worked as Director General of the Directorate for Foreign Policy and Strategic Partnerships of the Presidential Administration and was appointed to the working group on the establishment of a special international tribunal for the crime of aggression against Ukraine.

As reported earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky dismissed Ambassador to the Netherlands Maksym Kononenko on September 27, 2022, and appointed him Ambassador to Estonia on March 17, 2023.
