War update: Ukraine’s Air Force 13 times strikes Russian positions on Wed

Throughout the day, Ukraine’s Air Force carried out 13 strikes targeting Russian manpower and equipment clusters.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

For their part, Ukraine’s rocket and artillery forces hit eight Russian control points, 13 manpower clusters, an ammunition depot, a fuel depot, five artillery positions, an air defense system, and another two "important" targets.

Ukrainian defenders also downed seven Russian unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.

According to the General Staff, Russian troops continue to focus their main efforts on the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka axes, having launched over 30 attacks. The fiercest battles continue for the towns of Bakhmut and Maryinka in Donetsk region.

In total, on Wednesday, the Russian army carried out six missile strikes and 46 air strikes, as well as 69 attacks involving multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces and populated areas. Russian missiles hit Sloviansk, Kostiantynivka, and Zaporizhzhia.

As a result of enemy attacks, civilians have been killed and wounded, residential buildings and other civilian and administrative infrastructure objects have been damaged.

The likelihood of the Russians carrying out more missile and air strikes targeting the entire territory of Ukraine remains high.

No signs of enemy offensive groups being formed were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions. Russia continues to use the territory and infrastructure of the Republic of Belarus for training and combat coordination of own mobilized troops to further deploy them in combat zones.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the Russians maintain their military presence in the areas of Russia bordering Ukraine.

The areas of Krasnyi Khutir of Chernihiv region, Krenydivka, Znob-Novhorodske, and Uralove in Sumy region were hit by enemy aircraft.

Enemy artillery and mortars shelled Novovasylivka, Ukrainske, Iskriskivshchyna, Bilopyl, Yastrubine, Kindrativka, and Basivka of Sumy region, as well as Huryiv, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Buhruvatka, Ohirtseve, Hatysh, Vovchansk, Tikhomy, Synelnikove, Zybiny, Bochkove, Budarky, and Velikyi Burluk in Kharkiv region.

The Russians undertook no offensive efforts in the Kupiansk direction. Artillery and mortar strikes affected the settlements of Odradne, Dvorichany, Kamianets, Topoli, Krasne Pershe, Fiholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, and Tabaivka in Kharkiv region, as well as Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region.

On the Lyman axis, the Russian army carried out offensive operations in the Serebrianske Forestry area – with no gains. Russia’s aviation also hit Spirne.

Makiivka and Nevske of Luhansk region, Bilohorivka, Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Berestove, and Vesele of Donetsk region were hit by Russian artillery fire.

In the direction of Bakhmut, Russian troops continue their offensive as fighting continues directly in the town of Bakhmut. Throughout the day, the Russians have went for unsuccessful offensive attempts in the direction of Stupochky.

The invaders carried out airstrikes in the areas of Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka, and New York. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Markove, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Kostiantynivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Pivdenne, Toretsk, Severne, and New York of Donetsk region were affected by enemy shelling.

In the Avdiivka direction, the Russian army conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the Avdiivka area, shelling Novokalynove, Berdychi, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, and Pervomaiske in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled numerous Russian assault attempts in the area of the town of Maryinka. Hostre, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, and Pobieda of Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the Shakhtarske direction, the invaders undertook some offensive attempts actions in the Novomykhailivka area, none of which saw success. The enemy launched airstrikes near Vuhledar and Prechystivka. Paraskoviivka, Kostiantynivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Prechystivka were affected by Russian shelling.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops remain on the defensive, employing aviation to attack the areas of Mala Tokmachka, Omelnyk, and Kizomys.

At the same time, the invaders keep shelling the settlements along the line of contact. Vremivka and Novopil of Donetsk region, Olhivske, Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipilske, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhia region, Nikopol of Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Kherson, Zolota Balka, Vesele, Lvove, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Dniprovske, and Kizomys of Kherson region all came under enemy fire.
