Russian army shells Nikopol with heavy artillery, damaging houses, church, gas pipelines
The Russian military attacked Nikopol with heavy artillery, damaging private houses, an outbuilding and a church.
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council Mykola Lukashuk said this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"During the day, the shelling in the Nikopol region did not stop. Russians fired three times at the area with heavy artillery: they hit Nikopol and the Marhanets community," he wrote.
A 29-year-old man was injured, he is in stable condition. Another 71-year-old woman was rescued.
In Nikopol, enemy shells destroyed three private houses and an outbuilding. The shelling also damaged a church, a warehouse building, a shop, seven private households and the same number of outbuildings, two cars, gas pipelines and power lines.
According to Lukashuk, no other enemy attacks were recorded in the region.
As Ukrinform reported, on the night of May 12, the enemy army carried out four attacks in the Nikopol region.
