Russia has already killed 481 children in Ukraine
As a result of the full-scale Russian invasion, more than 1,452 children have been already killed and injured in Ukraine.
"As of the morning of May 14, 2023, more than 1,452 children were killed and injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to the official information from juvenile prosecutors, 481 children were killed and more than 971 children received injuries of varying degrees of severity," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Facebook.
It is noted that the numbers are not final. Efforts are underway to establish casualties in the areas of military operations, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were killed and injured in Donetsk region – 458, Kharkiv region – 277, Kyiv region – 128, Kherson region – 97, Zaporizhzhia region – 89, Mykolaiv region – 89, Chernihiv region – 70, Dnipropetrovsk region – 69, Luhansk region – 66.
As reported, on May 13, Russian troops struck the town of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. A 15-year-old girl was killed in the shelling. Two children aged 15 and 16 were injured.
A 16-year-old boy was injured in the Russian shelling of Khatnie village in Kharkiv region on May 13.
