Russia acknowledges deaths of two commanders near Bakhmut

Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced that two Russian commanders had been killed in action near Bakhmut, Donetsk region.  

Russia’s propaganda news outlet RIA Novosti reported this on Telegram with reference to Russia’s Ministry of Defense, Ukrinform reports.

"While repelling the attacks (by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Bakhmut area - ed.), the commander of the 4th motorized rifle brigade, Colonel Vyacheslav Makarov, and the deputy commander of the army corps for military and political work, Colonel Yevgeny Brovko, were killed,” the report says.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Ukrainian forces are gradually advancing in the suburb of Bakhmut, Donetsk region, and have captured Russian invaders.
