Andriushchenko shows how the invaders fortifying Mariupol
In Mariupol and neighboring villages, the invaders have built fortifications near each bridge over the Kalchik and Kalmius rivers.
Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, announced this and posted a photo of the fortifications on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
Andriushchenko wrote: "This is how the fortifications look like, so the Russians will be in Mariupol near the bridges. You can see for yourself - ditches, concrete bunkers with firing points. Everything is camouflaged."
According to him, fortifications were built near every bridge over the Kalchik and Kalmius rivers, along their entire length, in Mariupol and villages on the outskirts.
"The Russians are preparing. They are preparing to fight for Mariupol. Therefore, we should not underestimate the complexity of the work ahead for our Armed Forces... The worst thing for the people of Mariupol is that they will again be held hostage and used as human shields by the occupiers," Andriushchenko said and advised people to leave the city.
As reported earlier, the invaders are turning Mariupol and the surrounding villages into a military and logistics hub.
