Zelensky says agreements reached on powerful military aid packages for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is satisfied with the outcome of his visits to European countries, during which agreements were reached on important and powerful military aid packages for Ukraine.

He said this at a joint press conference with UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"The priority was our offensive action. I am very pleased with our achievements and agreements," Zelensky said, commenting on the results of his tour of Europe.

He thanked the heads of government of the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, and the French president, with whom he held meetings.

"Powerful defense packages are really important - these are the agreements," he added.

Zelensky said that the issues of preparations for the G7 summit and a "fighter jet coalition" for Ukraine had also been discussed at the meetings.

Zelensky is visiting Britain on Monday, May 15. He visited France and Germany on May 14 and Italy on May 13.
