Air Force spox hopes Ukraine to get enough Storm Shadow missiles
Storm Shadow is a new type of weapon, and Ukraine expects to receive sufficient quantities of this weapon.
The spokesman for the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat said this on the air of the United News telethon, citing ArmyInform, Ukrinform reports.
"Since the decision to transfer these missiles has already been made and announced by Western partners, there will be no problems with their use and adaptation to Ukrainian weapons. This modern cruise missile is in service with the world's leading countries. Western manufacturers will see in practice how effective their weapons are in the context of hostilities in Ukraine. In turn, we will ask for as much of it as possible," he said.
To the question whether this is a one-time assistance or the missiles will be transferred regularly, the Air Force Command spokesman did not answer. However, he expressed hope that the missiles would be transferred in sufficient quantity to fulfill all current tasks of protecting the state, as well as in the future, as a deterrent.
As Ukrinform reported, the UK confirmed the transfer of Storm Shadow missiles with a range of up to 250 km to Ukraine.
