Russians intensify shelling in southern direction

The Russian occupation forces have intensified shelling in the southern direction, launching airstrike on Stanislav, Kherson region, last night. Over the past day, 97 strikes with the use of 440 projectiles were recorded.

"The enemy continues to attack the right bank. At night, an airstrike was launched by a pair of Su-35s with two KAB-500 bombs on the area of Stanislav. Two civilians were injured, two private houses were destroyed. Also at night, a powerful strike was launched on one of Kherson's educational institutions. There was a fire on an area of more than 3,200 sqm, the fire was promptly put out, and the rubble is being cleared away. According to preliminary information, people were not injured but the building suffered significant destruction, the press service of the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook.

As noted, the intensity of shelling increased over the past day: 97 strikes with the use of about 440 projectiles were recorded. As a result of the shelling, one civilian was killed, another was injured, and two police officers were injured. More than 15 buildings – houses, social facilities, outbuildings – were destroyed and damaged.

As a result of an explosion while trying to disassemble an enemy projectile in Beryslav district, five civilian men died, and another civilian was injured when he drove over a mine on a tractor in the field.

The press service also reported that Ukraine’s Air Force units struck three enemy air defense positions in this direction and a manpower cluster in Skadovsk district. Ukraine’s air defense forces destroyed three enemy operational-tactical UAVs.

The missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian troops eliminated 10 invaders, five boats, one T-72/62 tank, seven units of engineering equipment and vehicles.
