Five White Angels police team members injured as Russians attack Donetsk region
A vehicle of the White Angels police unit has come under enemy fire in the Donetsk region’s Bakhmut district. Five police officers were injured.
The relevant statement was made by the National Police of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Today, a vehicle of the White Angels police unit has come under enemy fire in the Donetsk region. Five police team members were injured. The police unit came under Russian fire near the Bakhmut district’s Chasiv Yar,” National Police of Ukraine Acting Head Ivan Vyhivskyi noted.
The injured police officers managed to leave the impact area on their own and were provided with medical aid.
A reminder that the White Angels police unit consists of more than 20 teams, which provide assistance to children and families, evacuating from the areas of hostilities, deliver humanitarian aid and help people. Thousands of civilians have already been evacuated by them, including 600 children.
