Air defense forces shoot down four cruise missiles over Mykolaiv region

Overnight Tuesday, Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down four cruise missiles fired from the Black Sea over Mykolaiv region.

The head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, Vitaliy Kim, reported the news on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

"Last night, from the 15th to the 16th of May, air defense forces of Air Force Command South, shot down four Russian sea-based cruise missiles of the Kalibr type, launched by the invaders from the Black Sea," he noted.

Kim added that yesterday, May 15, at 17:05, the enemy fired artillery at the water area of the Ochakiv community. There were no casualties or damage.

According to his report, the day and night as relatively calm in Mykolaiv, Pervomaiske, Voznesensk, and Bashtanka districts.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, in the past day, two missile strikes were recorded on Kostyantynivka, Donetsk region, where the enemy used the S-300 air defense system.
