Three districts in Kharkiv region come under Russian shelling, two civilians killed

The Russian invaders shelled three districts of Kharkiv region on May 15, killing two civilians.

Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past day, the Russian occupiers massively fired artillery, mortars, and used aircraft to attack populated areas of Kharkiv, Kupiansk, and Chuhuiv districts of the region," he wrote.

Two civilians - a man and a woman - were killed in the artillery shelling of Dvorichna village in Kupiansk district. Another man received shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized, Syniehubov emphasized.

Yesterday evening, the enemy massively shelled the city of Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district. According to Syniehubov, at least three residential buildings, farm buildings, the building of a local hospital were damaged, while several projectiles hit an open area.

In Tyshchenkivka village, Kupiansk district, as a result of MLRS attack, at least four residential buildings and commercial buildings were damaged, and fires broke out.

In addition, Syniehubov reported that mine clearance works are ongoing in the region. Over the past day, experts of the State Emergency Service detected and neutralized 99 explosives.

"The enemy does not abandon attempts to improve its tactical position on the front line. Yesterday, the occupiers tried again to advance in the Masiutivka area, but had no success and retreated with losses," he said.

As Ukrinform reported, on May 14, Russian troops shelled the village of Starytsia, Chuhuiv district, killing a couple.
