Seven injured as Russians fire 406 shells at Kherson region on May 16

Russian troops shelled the Kherson region 79 times on Tuesday, May 16, injuring seven civilians, including three children.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

In total, the Russians fired 406 shells in the region, using heavy artillery, Grad multiple rocket launchers, tanks, drones, and aircraft.

The invaders attacked the city of Kherson six times, firing 26 projectiles.

The strikes targeted residential areas of settlements in the region and at a filling station in the Beryslav district.

As many as 62 people were evacuated from the liberated territories of the Kherson region in the past day.
