Russians hit Kostiantynivka overnight, causing building damage, resulting in fatalities, injuries
During the night, Russians carried out a rocket attack on Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. As a result, two apartment buildings, two private houses, two administrative buildings, and a store were damaged. One person was killed, and another person was injured.
Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"At midnight, the Russians launched a missile strike on Kostiantynivka. One person was killed, and one was injured. Two apartment buildings, two private houses, two administrative buildings, and a shop in the city were damaged. Additionally, yesterday the enemy struck with 'Smerch' rockets on the Udachne community, damaging two houses," wrote the head of the region.
He noted that in the direction of Volnovakha, Vuhledar, Novoukrainka, and Prechystivka came under enemy shelling.
In the direction of Donetsk, the Kurakhiv community came under fire: a correctional facility was damaged in Hostre, two houses were damaged in Kurakhivka, and another house was damaged in Hirnyk. In Krasnohorivka, shells hit four streets.
"The AKHZ district (Avdiivka Coke Chemical Plant) in Avdiivka and the outskirts of the Ocheretyne community are under shelling. Chasiv Yar has come under fire in the Horlivka direction, resulting in damage to four houses. Zvanivka, Torske, Zarychnoye, and the outskirts of Lymanske have been targeted with shelling in the Lysychansk direction," stated Kyrylenko.
As reported earlier, on May 17, Russian forces killed two civilians in the Donetsk region and injured five others.
