One killed in enemy attacks on 17 settlements in Kharkiv region

Russian troops shelled 17 settlements in three districts of the Kharkiv region on May 19, killing one person.

Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration, said this on his Telegram social media channel, according to Ukrinform.

"A 52-year-old civilian man was killed by a missile attack on the village of Tsyrkuny. Two more men, 41 and 57, were injured. Two private residential houses in the village were destroyed, and 13 more houses were damaged," he said.

According to Syniehubov, in the village of Teshenkivka Kupiansk district, shelling from multiple rocket launchers damaged buildings, property and equipment at a farm.

He noted that residential buildings, a fence and a civilian infrastructure object had been damaged in Vovchansk, Chuhuiv district.

Forest fires broke out in the villages of Starytsia and Perkivka of the Chuhuiv district due to enemy shelling.

Syniehubov added that demining activities are underway in the Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the bomb disposal experts of the State Emergency Service examined more than eight hectares of territory and neutralized 183 explosive objects.
