Energy workers killed in Russian shelling of Sumy region
In Sumy region, three employees of the Sumyoblenergo local energy company were killed in the shelling by the Russian military.
"According to the investigation data, around 11:45 on May 19, 2023, the occupiers, using methods of warfare prohibited by international law, fired at the car of PJSC Sumyoblenergo which was driving along the field road in Yunakivka community, Sumy district. The driver and two electricians were killed," the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, record the consequences of the crime and collect evidence.
Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As the Operational Command "North" posted on Telegram, Russian troops strucj border settlements in Chernihiv and Sumy regions with mortars and artillery three times today as of 16:00.
