Enemy launched six missile strikes, 51 airstrikes on Ukraine on Friday - General Staff
Russian forces hit Ukraine with six missile strikes and 51 airstrikes on Friday, May 19.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update, according to Ukrinform.
"Today, the enemy launched six missile strikes and 51 airstrikes and carried out more than 30 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. Civilian infrastructure was damaged. In particular, as a result of the shelling of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk region and the settlements of Stepnohirsk in the Zaporizhia region and Beryslav in the Kherson region, there are dead and wounded civilians, residential private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed," the report said.
The General Staff noted that the probability of the enemy launching missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains high.
The enemy continues to focus its main efforts in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors, with 70 engagements recorded in these areas today. The fiercest battles continue for Bakhmut and Marinka.
Ukraine's combat aircraft launched 12 strikes on areas where enemy troops and military hardware were located, as well as four strikes on the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems.
Throughout the day, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed three Kalibr cruise missiles, 16 Iranian-made Shahed attack drones and two reconnaissance UAVs.
Ukraine's rocket and artillery units hit a command post, six areas where Russian weapons and military hardware were concentrated, two artillery pieces in firing positions and six electronic warfare stations of the enemy.
