Zelensky welcomes Biden's decision to support 'jets coalition' for Ukraine

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has welcomed the United States' decision to support an international "fighter jet coalition" for Ukraine.

Zelensky reported this on Twitter, according to Ukrinform.

"I welcome the historic decision of the United States and President Joe Biden to support an international fighter jet coalition. This will greatly enhance our army in the sky. I count on discussing the practical implementation of this decision at the G7 summit in Hiroshima," the president wrote.

Biden earlier assured the leaders of the Group of Seven nations that the United States would support an effort to train Ukrainian pilots on advanced aircraft, including F-16s.
