VR Chairman Stefanchuk: Denmark ready to train Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 fighter jets
Denmark has expressed willingness to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the F-16 fighter aircraft.
The relevant statement was made by Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Good news from our Danish friends and partners. Denmark is ready to train Ukrainian pilots to operate the F-16 fighter jets,” Stefanchuk wrote.
In his words, Denmark will soon start discussing a specific training plan for Ukrainian pilots, and “this will be a priority task.”
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Danish Defense Acting Minister Troels Lund Poulsen for this decision.
A reminder that U.S. President Joe Biden earlier assured the leaders of the Group of Seven nations that the United States would support an effort to train Ukrainian pilots on advanced aircraft, including F-16s.
