Ukrainian defenders destroy 20 Shahed drones at night

On the night of May 20, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 20 Shahed-136/131 combat drones and Merlin-VR reconnaissance drone of the Russian invaders.

This is stated in the report by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

After midnight on May 20, 2023, the Russians attacked Ukraine from the north with 18 Shahed-136/131 combat drones targeting Kyiv region. All of them were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Command “Center”.

At the end of the day on May 19, two Shahed combat drones were destroyed in the eastern direction, in the area of responsibility of the Air Command “East”.

Merlin-VR reconnaissance UAV was destroyed in the southern direction, in the area of ​​responsibility of the Air Command “South”.
