Twenty-one settlements come under enemy fire in Kharkiv region, civilian killed
On May 19, 2023, Russian troops shelled at least 21 settlements in the Kharkiv region. As a result, one civilian was killed and one injured.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
In particular, Russian invaders opened fire on the Kharkiv, Kupiansk and Chuhuiv districts. The enemy used artillery, mortars and aircraft.
A man, 65, was killed in the Kupiansk district’s Petropavlivka. Russian projectiles caused damage to a residential house and household buildings.
Another civilian man, 43, was injured in Synkivka. He was taken to hospital.
In Kupiansk, Russian attacks caused damage to three residential houses and household buildings.
Additionally, four residential houses and household buildings were damaged in Russia’s massive shelling of the Chuhuiv district’s Vovchansk.
Demining efforts continue in the Kharkiv region. Over the past day, the explosives experts of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service have inspected over eight hectares and neutralized 82 dangerous objects.
