Two killed, one injured in Russia’s morning attack on Kherson region

On the morning of May 20, 2023, two civilians were killed and one injured as Russian troops attacked the Kherson region.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“According to the investigative data, around 04:00 a.m., May 20, 2023, Russian troops again shelled the city of Beryslav. The enemy projectile hit a detached house. A man and a woman died under the rubble,” the report states.

Another man was injured in Russia’s attack on Kindiika, which is situated not far from Kherson. He was taken to hospital.

According to the preliminary data, Russians launched air strikes on the settlements. Civilian houses, household buildings and cars were damaged.

Law enforcement officers are working at the scene to document the war crime committed by Russian soldiers.

A reminder that, on May 19, 2023, Russian troops launched six missile strikes and 62 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 65 times.
