Russians again shell border of Chernihiv, Sumy regions

On 22 May, Russian troops fired five times at border settlements in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions.

The Operational Command North reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform. 

"As of 13:00 on 22 May, Russian troops fired five times at the border areas of the Chernihiv and Sumy regions," the statement said.

Between 00:00 and 00:10, the Russians fired at the area of Khodyne village, allegedly with a 120-mm mortar, launching two mines.

Between 05:40 and 05:50, the enemy fired at the area of the village of Katerynivka, allegedly with a 120-mm mortar, launching four mines.

One hit, probably a rocket from a helicopter, was recorded in the area of Gorky village at around 09:15.

The enemy fired on the village of Tymonovychi between 09:05 and 11:20, probably with cannon artillery, firing 20 shells.

The village of Halahanivka was shelled by Russians between 12:00 and 12:05, allegedly with a 120mm mortar, launching three mines.

There were no reports of casualties among the local population or damage to civilian infrastructure.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on 21 May, Russian aggressors shelled seven communities in the Sumy region, with a total of 32 explosions recorded.
