Russian recon ship reportedly attacked by drones

The Ivan Khurs reconnaissance ship with the Russian Black Sea Fleet was reportedly attacked by at least three maritime drones on May 24.

That's according to Defense Express citing Russian media, Ukrinform reports.

The attack allegedly occurred as the vessel was passing through the Bosphorus Strait. The approximate distance from the Ukraine-controlled territory in the Black Sea to the area where the Ivan Khurs vessel was reportedly attacked is over 400 km.

Russian sources claim the crew repelled the attack and no damage was inflicted to the ship.

The Ivan Khurs (Project 18280) is a unique reconnaissance ship that is part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet, being one of only two available in the entire fleet. It was launched in 2017 and commissioned in 2018.
