Russian aggression leaves 986 children injured in Ukraine
The Russian army has already injured 986 children across Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"As of the morning of May 27, 2023, 1,469 children were affected in Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official reports from juvenile prosecutors, 483 children were killed and over 986 sustained injuries of various degrees of severity," the post reads.
The figures are not final as work is ongoing to verify incoming reports from the zones of hostilities, temporarily captured and recently liberated territories.
The largest number of child casualties was reported in Donetsk region (462), Kharkiv region (278), Kyiv region (128), Kherson region (102), Zaporizhzhia region (91), Mykolaiv region (89), Dnipropetrovsk region (72), Chernihiv region (70), and Luhansk region (67).
On May 26, a Russian missile attack on a medical facility in Dnipro injured two boys three and six years old.
