One killed as enemy shells 16 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region over past day
The Russian army shelled Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region 108 times on May 26, killing an elderly woman.
Yurii Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
According to him, Russian terrorists targeted 16 peaceful towns and villages in the region. In Huliaipole, two women were injured, and in Novodanylivka, the Russians killed a 73-year-old woman in her own yard.
"The enemy launched 108 strikes: 96 instances of artillery shelling in Huliaipole, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Stepnohirsk, Kamianske and other villages, six MLRS attacks on Huliaipilske, Bilohiria, Temyrivka, UAV attacks on Stepove, Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, and missile attacks on the villages of Rizdvianka and Liubytske," he said.
On May 25, Russian troops shelled the territory of the Zaporizhzhia region 102 times, destroying 23 objects.
