Canadian instructors in Poland teach Ukrainian soldiers mine safety
In Poland, Canadian Armed Forces instructors are training Ukrainian soldiers to overcome mine threats on the battlefield.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Facebook.
Classes are held as part of the training operation UNIFIER. A detachment of Canadian combat sappers under the command of Lieutenant Jacques Pecora helps the Ukrainian military to acquire many skills necessary for survival and endurance.
According to the report, Canadian Armed Forces members are on the ground in Poland to leverage their training expertise to instruct Ukrainian warriors on weapons handling, ensuring their operational readiness.
Operation UNIFIER is a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) military training mission launched in 2015 in response to a request from the Ukrainian government to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
