Russians attack four districts in Kharkiv region, two civilians injured
On May 28, 2023, Russian troops opened fire on four districts in the Kharkiv region.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Over the past day, the enemy has been continuously causing terror against civilians in the Kharkiv region. The settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium districts were remaining under enemy fire,” Syniehubov wrote.
Around 00:30 a.m., May 29, 2023, a residential house was damaged in Russia’s artillery strike on the Izium district’s village of Bohuslavka. A man, 49, was injured.
In the Kupiansk district’s village of Petropavlivka, a detached house was hit. Two household buildings were on fire.
A woman, 73, was injured in Russia’s artillery strike on the Kupiansk district’s village of Kucherivka.
Additionally, Russian attacks caused damage to a residential house and a car in Kupiansk.
“The Kharkiv region’s defenders continue repelling attacks by the occupiers at the contact line. Yesterday, the enemy again attempted to conduct offensive actions near the village of Masiutivka but failed,” Syniehubov noted.
A reminder that, on the night of May 29, 2023, Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 37 Russian Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles, 29 Shahed-136/131 suicide drones, and one reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle.
