Four civilians killed, 34 injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine in past day
Four civilians have been killed and 34 injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine’s territory over the past day.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The eighteenth air attack on Kyiv this May. In recent days, [the enemy has been attacking] day and night. Extensive shelling continues in the frontline and rear areas. Russia is making attempts to break us and subjugate our will, leave civilians without sleep and prevent us, the country’s security and defense sector, from preparing for the implementation of important tasks,” Klymenko told.
Unfortunately, Russian attacks cause destruction and casualties among civilians.
“Over the past day, 38 civilians have been affected across different regions of Ukraine: four persons were killed and 34 injured, including two children,” Klymenko noted.
The minister emphasized that, despite the pain of losses, Ukraine counters Russian threats more effectively with each attack.
Klymenko expressed gratitude to everyone fulfilling their duty with honor day and night. He also thanked the Ukrainian people who endure Russian attacks, provide support for Ukrainian defenders and follow the established restrictions.
A reminder that, on the night of May 30, 2023, Ukraine’s air defense units destroyed 29 out of 31 enemy Shahed-136/131 suicide drones.
