One civilian killed, seven wounded in Russia's shelling of Donetsk region
On Thursday, June 1, Russian troops carried out another attack on the Donetsk region, killing one civilian and leaving seven others wounded.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office said this in a post on the Telegram messaging app.
Criminal proceedings have been launched into violations of the laws and customs of war (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that on June 1, the Russian invaders once again struck populated areas in the region, using FAB-250 aircraft bombs and artillery.
The settlements of Krasnohorivka, New York, Toretsk, Lastochkyne and Antonivka came under enemy fire. Seven civilians were wounded.
A 47-year-old woman was killed by Russian tank fire in Avdiivka.
On May 31, Russian troops killed two civilians and injured five others in the Donetsk region.
