Kharkiv authorities mulling evacuation of people from border areas

The Kharkiv Regional Military Administration mulls over the issue of a possible forced evacuation from the border settlements of the region as the number of strikes there has increased.

"Over the past day, 26 of our settlements were struck in north, north-eastern direction, Kupyansk direction. We are mulling over a decision on the possible forced evacuation of children and adults from the border areas, where we see that the military situation is getting worse," Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, said during the United News telethon.

He added that two people were killed and three more were injured.

Syniehubov also reported on a meeting with the ambassadors of 18 countries – international partners of Ukraine at which they discussed the restoration of the housing stock of Izium town.

"We plan to restore not seriously damaged houses before the beginning of the heating season," he said.

As reported, the Russian army shelled four districts of Kharkiv region over the past day, injuring three people. In the morning, the Russians attacked Kupyansk.
