Invaders shell Nikopol district with artillery
The Russian army on Tuesday shelled the city of Nikopol and the Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region with artillery.
Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"The enemy hit the Nikopol district with artillery fire. Nikopol itself, Chervonohryhorivka and Marhanets communities came under attack," the post reads.
According to Lysak, the shelling damaged a gymnasium, seven private houses, an outbuilding, power lines, and more than 20 solar panels. People were not hurt.
The situation with the Kakhovka Reservoir is under the control of the regional military administration, the official added.
In the early hours of June 6, Russian troops blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant. The plant cannot be restored. People are being evacuated from flooded settlements.
