Germany sends Ukraine Bandvagn all-terrain vehicles
Germany handed over to Ukraine another package of defense aid, which included Bandvagn 206 tracked all-terrain vehicles.
That’s according to the German government press service, Ukrinform reports.
The first batch of eight all-terrain vehicles has already been sent to Ukraine.
Also in the new batch are 2,000 pieces of munition for Gepard anti-aircraft self-propelled guns.
In addition, 14 VECTOR reconnaissance drones, 16 units of automotive equipment, three anti-drone systems, two 8×6 HX81 trucks with a removable body, and 11,000 dry rations have been sent.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the German government intends to transfer to Ukraine 64 Bandvagn 206 tracked all-terrain vehicles and 66 armored personnel carriers.
The Bandvagn 206 was developed by the Swedish company Hägglunds for the ground forces. The vehicle is designed to carry 17 soldiers (six in the front compartment and 11 in the rear).
