One person killed, six injured due to Russian shelling of Kherson and region

In Kherson region, one person was killed and six injured as a result of Russian shelling on June 8.

That's according to the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office, Ukrinform reports.

According to the investigation, on June 8, the Russian military began shelling the regional center and settlements located in the Kherson district.

A civilian was killed during evacuation operations in the city due to targeted attacks by the Russian military. Two more people were injured. The data is being clarified.

In one of the villages, four residents were injured by shelling. Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged.

"Under the procedural guidance of the Kherson and Oleshky district prosecutor's offices, a pre-trial investigation into criminal proceedings over violations of the laws and customs of war has been launched," the prosecutor's office said.

As Ukrinform reported, Russian troops are shelling evacuation sites in Kherson, at least three people were wounded by enemy fire.
