Evacuation from left bank of Kherson region: Civilians injured as Russians shell their boat

The Russian army shelled a boat with civilians who were trying to leave the left bank of Kherson region.

Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"They opened fire in the backs of civilians. Six people were injured," he said.

According to Yermak, the civilians managed to reach Kherson and were hospitalized.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Russian forces blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam on the night of June 6. Rescue operations and the evacuation of the population from the flood-affected areas are ongoing.
