Three dead as Russians fire at evacuation boat - Kherson official

After Russian invasion forces opened fire at a boat evacuating civilians from the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region, three people were killed and 10 were injured.

That’s according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, who broke the tragic news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Thirteen people were injured after a boat used to evacuate people from the left bank (of the Dnipro River, occupied by the Russian invasion forces – ed.) was fired at. Three civilians were killed, 10 more were injured, including two law enforcers," the report said.

Prokudin noted that the 74-year-old man covered the woman with his body when the enemy opened fire. The Russians shot him in the back. He succumbed to his wounds as doctors did not have enough time to provide the required assistance.
