On Bakhmut axis, Ukraine’s Army advances another 700 meters - spox
Three combat clashes took place in the Bakhmut direction over the past day, where 66 invaders were killed, and another 83 were injured in action. Ukraine’s forces advanced some 250 to 700 meters along the flanks, pushing the enemy back.
Serhii Cherevatyi, the spokesman for the Eastern Group of Forces, reported the news on the air of the national telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent saw.
"Positional battles continue here (in the Bakhmut direction - ed.). The enemy tries, to no avail, to try to counterattack as well. On this day, a total of three combat clashes took place in this direction, the enemy hit our positions 249 times using various types of artillery, and carried out two air raids. We, in turn, continued to counterattack wherever we had opportunities, and advanced from 250 to 700 meters on the flanks, pushing the enemy back. At the same time, 66 invaders were killed and 83 were wounded, three were captured. Two enemy infantry fighting vehicles, two amphibious assault vehicles, an armored personnel carrier, two Nona self-propelled mortars, a D-30 howitzer, an anti-tank missile complex, and a field ammunition depot were also destroyed," spokesman said.
Cherevatyi added that the Ukrainian military is trying to defeat the superior forces of the enemy due to own skills.
As Ukrinform reported, from February 24, 2022 to June 12, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated 216,180 Russian invaders, including 540 in the past day alone.
In addition, Ukraine’s forces destroyed 3,931 enemy tanks (+5 in the past day), 7,636 (+5) armored fighting vehicles, 3,746 (+10) artillery systems, 601 (+0) multiple rocket launchers, 362 (+0) air defense systems, 314 (+0) warplanes, 299 (+0) helicopters, 3,307 (+7) UAVs of the operational and tactical level, 1,183 (+0) cruise missiles, 18 (+0) warships/cutters, 6,471 (+10) trucks and fuel tankers, and 510 (+1) units of specialized equipment.
