Ukraine’s defense chief discusses with U.S. ambassador, defense attaché further strengthening of Army capabilities

Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov discussed with the US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink and the newly appointed Defense Attaché at the US Embassy, Brigadier General Kipling Kahler, directions of cooperation on strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces.

That’s according to the ministry’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

"Oleksii Reznikov met with U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink and the newly appointed Defense Attaché at the U.S. Embassy, Brigadier General Kipling Kahler. Ukraine’s Minister of Defense congratulated Kipling Kahler on his appointment and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation. The parties discussed the current and prospective directions of cooperation with the aim of strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to bring Ukraine closer to victory," reads the report posted on Telegram.

As noted, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, Deputy Ministers of Defense Oleksandr Polishchuk, Volodymyr Havrylov and Denys Sharapov also took part in the meeting.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on June 2, Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov discussed further support for Ukraine with the defense chiefs of the United States and Canada, as part of his participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue security forum in Singapore.
