Two volunteers injured as Russians shell flood-affected Kherson

On the evening of June 14, Russian troops once again shelled Kherson, injuring two volunteers who were helping the civilian population evacuate the area.

The Prosecutor General's Office announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

Criminal proceedings have been initiated and a pre-trial investigation is ongoing into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Article 438 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It was established that the enemy shelled the city around 18:50 on Wednesday, June 14. According to preliminary data, the invaders employed mortars.

Two volunteers, including a foreign national, were injured by enemy fire. Civilian infrastructure was damaged in the attack.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, over the past 24 hours, Russian invaders shelled Kherson region 57 times, killing a civilian. Seventeen explosions were reported in the city of Kherson.
