In the latest Russian attack targeting Ukraine, including Kyiv, on June 16, the air defense forces shot down 12 missiles and two uncrewed aerial vehicles.
That’s according to a tentative report by the Air Force Command, Ukrinform reports.
In total, air defense forces downed “six Kinzhal air ballistic missiles, six Kalibr cruise missiles, and two reconnaissance drones,” according to the report.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, an air raid alert went off in multiple regions across Ukraine shortly before noon on Friday.
Air defenses were activated in and around Kyiv, according to local officials.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported explosions in the capital’s Podilskyi district.
