UK to give GBP 60M to NATO’s Ukraine fund

The United Kingdom will send an additional GBP 60 million ($77 million) to the Ukraine Support Fund.

UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace has announced an additional GBP 60 million from the UK to NATO's Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP), bringing the UK's total contribution since February last year to over GBP 80 millioon.

NATO's comprehensive aid package for Ukraine has been in effect since 2016.

"The package provides secure communications; combat rations, fuel, medical supplies; body armour; winter clothing and equipment to counter mines and chemical and biological threats," the report said.

"This new contribution for NATO’s Ukraine fund is part of our ongoing commitment to provide Ukraine with the equipment and training it need," said Ben Wallace.

As reported, the British government announced a package of military aid for Ukraine in the amount of GBP 92 million (almost $116 million) to improve the nation’s air defense efficiency.
