Russians strike Kostiantynivka injuring woman and nine-year-old child

A nine-year-old child and a woman were injured in the Russian artillery shelling of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region.

“Under the procedural leadership of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched into the violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine),” the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram.

According to the investigation data, Russian troops launched yet another attack on the town of Kostiantynivka around 10:20 on June 17.

"A nine-year-old girl was injured as projectiles hit a private sector. She was diagnosed with closed chest and abdomen injuries, open shoulder fracture, lacerations to legs, and multiple lacerations on the body," the report reads.

A 57-year-old woman was also hospitalized with a shrapnel injury in her leg. Currently, the condition of the victims is assessed as stable.

As a result of the shelling, 11 residential buildings, a garage, a car, a gas pipeline, and electricity networks were damaged.

According to preliminary data, the town was struck with tube artillery.
